I love to look at artist’s portfolios, and compare their older work to newer pieces. Some artists follow a steady line of progression, and some artists jump leaps and bounds between series of work. I would say Natalia Fabia’s work falls somewhere in between those two lines.
If you check out her older pieces, you’ll see she’s always been fascinated by women & fashion, but if you take a look at her newer work you get a real sense of pop culture as seen through the eyes of a southern California artist.
Obviously everyone loves paintings of beautiful women, but going beyond that I really appreciate the contemporary relevance of the objects Natalia surrounds her subjects with. I’m looking forward to seeing how her next body of work progresses from where she’s at now.

Earlier issues of Arkitip featured an eclectic mix of artists, but these days they are focusing on one artist per edition. If you’re a fan of JR, issue #56 is for you. $40 may seem a bit pricey, but it’s a limited edition and JR is a hot commodity these days, so it may sell out fast.

Faesthetic 11 cover artist, good buddy and all around nice guy, Maxwell Loren Holyoke Hirsch updates his portfolio with some stellar new work.
I love watching him experiment.
By no means are Stanley & Sons a newcomer to the game, but barely anyone else in the industry does it as right as they do.
