There aren’t enough samples on Sonya Derman‘s website for me to decide exactly what it is I like about her illustration work, but I know I like it. I think you will too…

Fresh Paint NYC

I’m looking forward to picking up this new book by Billy Schon featuring a ton of graffiti from NYC’s constantly evolving scene. As Billy puts it, “Because New York City has made a concerted effort to remove graffiti from the city, the images captured here will never be seen again.” Which to me is a compelling enough reason to check out the book. We need more graffiti archivists!

Neverend

6:34 pm in art, design, product dustin hostetler

Neverend is a brand spanking new (ongoing) series of limited edition wood clocks created in conjunction with¬†Kitsune Noir, Furni, and a select group of talented artists and designers. Each piece will feature artwork that is laser-etched onto a solid piece of birch wood to create a bold, graphic interpretation of the essential wall clock. For their first offering, we see a detailed piece by Dan Funderburgh. I’ve had previews of some of the upcoming clocks, and holy crap this series will not disappoint. Get em while they’re hot!
